Check your phone’s firmware version
To check what firmware version your Nokia 6682 is running on, just type *#0000# into your phone and the information will appear (no need to press the “Send” button). The most current version is:
V 4.62.0
28-10-05
RM-58
Nokia 6682
Update: This is actually the most current version:
V 4.65.0
24-02-06

Hi,
Just did a software update on my 6682 today BUT it could only reinstall v 4.41.0 that was the version already preinstalled on the phone when I got it.
WHY do you say it should update to version 4.65.0 ????…

Based on what others have reported, it appears that the most recent firmware version of the unlocked Nokia 6682 is V 4.41.0. The Cingular branded version had problems with V 4.62.0 of their firmware, so anyone with a Cingular branded phone should upgrade to V 4.65.0.

V4.65.0 appear to no longer be available. V4.62.0 is the latest from Nokia for the 6682 as of today.
